Damp walls

Damp walls. As a result of porous brickwork and/or poor pointing, generally on the exposed side of the house, rainwater penetrates the wall. The water soaks the wall so that it remains permanently damp.

There are many misunderstandings about damp walls:

As a result of poor ventilation in combination with double-glazing, the humidity in the house can be so high that mouldy patches appear on the wall. To see whether there actually is rising damp or of whether the humidity in the house is too high it is advisable to fill in the questionnaire about this and send it to us. If you have any questions you can always contact us by telephone or e-mail. One of our technical advisers will be pleased to speak to you.

The Solution
By impregnating the exterior wall (rendering hydrophobic) no further damper can penetrate. If the exterior of the wall is not accessible (for example in a cellar) or displays cracks, the wall can also be injected with MBA4.
